The pizza in this country is like nowhere else in the world. There are many different variations and toppings and it is all up to you to decide what you want to eat.
Veneto is a north-eastern region in Italy, where all of the famous places are located such as Venice, Verona, Vicenza, Treviso, Lake Garda etc. Beside the wonderful places, this part of Italy is also famous for its traditional meal Bigoli.
Whilst spaghetti are slim, while Bigoli are long, thicker and pipe shaped. They are made with special flour and duck eggs. You can eat them with fish, wild duck and many other different sauces. On the side you have seasonal veggies, parmesan and parsley. Delicious!
As the colors of the Italian flag, here comes the lovely Italian salad called Caprese.
The main but also the only ingredients in this salad are sliced tomatoes, chopped fresh mozzarella, basil and olive oil.
Risi e Bisi
Italians managed to make a perfect meal from only simple ingredients! Rice and beans, chicken and risotto spices are ingredients for Risi e Bisi.
It is similar to risotto, but this meal looks more like a soup.
Tortellini en Brodo
The Tortellini en Brodo are the best part of northern Italy. Filled with pork or chicken, Prosciutto or cheese, they are served with rich cream sauce.

Canederli is a traditional winter meal. It is made of bread leftovers, mixed with eggs and milk. Balls of the mix with added ham, cheese and spices are made and cooked in chicken or beef broth. They are served as a soup.
There is also a variation of Canederli in which the balls are sweet and served as dessert with fruit or cream.
Osso buco alla Milanese
Osso buco alla Milanese is a meal characteristic for Milan and its surroundings.
It is a real taste explosion for meat lovers. Main ingredients are beef slowly cooked with white wine and served with strong sauce like Gremolata which is made with garlic, parsley and lemon zest.
Cacciucco is a real pleasure for seafood lovers.
It’s a meal made from fish, mussels, calamari and octopus. The mix varies from the part of Italy you order this dish in and it is served with fresh baked bread.
Focaccia di recco
You can’t visit Liguria without trying Focaccia di Recco.
It is a pie, filled with special chosen Stracchino e Crescenza cheese. This is a lovely choice for breakfast during your stay in Italy.
For dessert lovers, Torrone is the perfect choice!
It is made from honey, egg whites, almonds and orange. The modern variation of Torrone is dipped in chocolate. The taste is unimaginable!
